KURARAY POVAL™
Kuraray has been a pioneer in the development of polyvinyl alcohol (Kuraray Poval™) since the early 1950s originating from a small plant in Kurashiki, Japan. Originally in the form of the raw material Vinylon, Kuraray Poval™ was commercialized and sold by Kuraray in the beginning of 1958. As applications for Kuraray Poval™ were developed, Kuraray expanded its production capacity globally. Nowadays we are the global leader in PVOH with 6 manufacturing units in Asia, Europe and the US.
With Kuraray Poval™ F we offer Polyvinyl Alcohol which we class as wide specification material. This means the product is in maximum of 1-2 parameters wider than our standard specification and we provide all analytical data so that you can review the specific lots. Some lots contain color chips, that have an impact to solubility. In any case a minimum inner temperature of 95° C has to be reached. The product is not contaminated and is pure Polyvinyl alcohol resin.
